Il viaggio 2019-2020

In questo percorso vi proponiamo un viaggio fra i personaggi presenti in una vasta zona intorno alla Garfagnana, partendo da Lucca, arrivando fino a Pontremoli, inglobando la catena delle Apuane con alcune incursioni qua e là.

La scelta del territorio è legata alla presenza di una figura particolare: gli streghi; e così abbiamo definito lo spazio scelto come il “Regno degli streghi”.

Non ci saranno solo questi personaggi nel nostro viaggio, ne incontreremo molti altri a cominciare dal folletto qui conosciuto per lo più come Buffardello.

Il viaggio, come dichiarato, sarà nei meandri delle migliaia di variabili che incontreremo man mano che la ricerca andrà avanti.

Dietro le nostre scelte ci sono gli studi e le teorie di Alberto Borghini, che sinteticamente vi raccontiamo in due tavole o pagine: “Immaginario e territorio” e “Figure, figurazioni, varianti e grammatica del simbolico”.

In questa prima fase seguiremo i collegamenti territoriali solo per la scelta dei documenti e della ulteriore ricerca, i racconti, invece, si succederanno intorno ai singoli personaggi senza riferimenti di spazio o di tempo.

The 2019-2020 journey

For this route we suggest a journey to discover the characters found in a vast area around the Garfagnana, from Lucca as far north as Pontremoli, taking in the Apuan Alps with a few side trips here and there.
This territory is defined by the presence of one particular type of being, the streghi (fairyfolk), so we have called this area the “Kingdom of the fairyfolk”.
These will not be the only characters to be met on our travels, we shall come across many others, starting with the goblin, known mostly here as ‘Buffardello’.
The journey, as already mentioned, will follow the meanderings of thousands of variants that we shall meet progressively as our researches continue.
Our choices follow on from the studies and theories of Alberto Borghini, which we will outline in two posters: “Folklore and territory” and “Characters, features, variants and grammar of the symbolic”.
In this initial phase we will follow geographical connections only, through our choice of documents and further research. The narratives, on the other hand, will be centred on a single character type without reference to space and/or time.
